The Heart and Soul of Nashville

Posted by on

New York and Los Angeles have become synonymous with creativity, but a trip to Nashville will show you a city that breaths a raw side of creativity that is unmatched. Creativity is at the heart and soul of music city, which means there's never a shortage of inspiring things to do. The food scene has evolved over recent years, it's beaming with strong art and culture, and of course, it has a musical experience like non-other.
Nashville is one of those towns where you can find just about anything to get into. It can be overwhelming trying to find the perfect things to do or figure out how to fit everything in, especially if you're only going for a weekend getaway. So we’ve taken some leg work out, visited some amazing places, and are ready to share with you some Nashville gems you should be sure not to miss!
There’s no reason to not make it out of Nashville without getting a few Nashville keepsakes, and no two items go more with Nashville than a pair of boots and a hat. Goorin Bros offers a perfect mix of bold hats and exceptional service. Their main factory is in Adamstown, Pa., but they have a great presence in Nashville. It doesn’t matter if you're looking for a cowboy hat or a trendy wide brim, felt show stopper -  you're guaranteed to find something that pleases your fancy at their shop located on the corner of Mississippi and the famed 2nd Street.
Now it’s time to get a set of dancing shoes, and there's no better place for this than Boot Country. It may not be your hole-in-the-wall shopping experience, but when you can buy 1 pair and get 2 pairs for free, checking this place out is a no brainer!
Our journey through Nashville wouldn't be complete without spending some time walking around Music Row and getting the true honkytonk experience it offers. There are endless bars with live music, but some of the staples include bars of well known country superstars, Jason Alden and Luke Bryan. Jason Alden’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar is a four level restaurant and live entertainment hub serving up some great southern food and top shelf entertainment. We also were loving the atmosphere at Luke's 32 Bridge Food + Drink. But wait! Don’t stop there. Keep walking up and down Broadway, popping in and out of each bar to get the full local experience.
While we were there, we asked our friend Mark Block, the founder of Nashville modeling agency, The Block Agency for some suggestions on his favorite local spots in town. Check out the full list.
